I'm in that uncomfortable position where the person who screwed up isn't here to take the blame.
There are a lot of angry people in the building right now.

I'm not sure Tori would be the best person to save you in this particular situation.
She may sing something not-so-comforting like,
"Can't stop what's coming;
Can't stop what is on it's way"
Perhaps Meg and Jack?
"Take all your problems
And rip 'em apart"
Yes, but Tori could take me "Driving in [her] Saab, on [our] way to Ireland."
While the White Stripes comiserate by saying "I bend my back over, take a gulp, be funny, cause I know there's nothing I can do"

Plus Tori has a cape. How could she NOT save me?
True; she does indeed have a cape, and therefore the super powers and tendency to save that naturally accompany such a wardrobe. She will make the angry people in your building melt with her siren song -- saving you in the process.
Plus, she wouldn't spell "its" wrong, as I did in my poor quotation! D'oh.
I wish she were melting my ears right now.... (crushing sigh)
