Citizen Braff?
Here's a topic for debate:
With "Garden State," Zach Braff created the seminal film of our generation (ie/ People born between 1980 and 1989).
I'm starting to think it's true. But maybe it's because there's finally a film with a main character named "Andrew."
1 Comments:
This post opens up a whole series of debate. I suggest we divide into sub-topics:
1) How do we define our generation?
2) What do we consider the seminal films of other generations (ie: The Graduate, American Graffiti?)
3) What would the other candidates be? (American Beauty? Juno?)
4) What are the official cut-off years for "our generation"? (Where's Douglas Coupland when you need him?)
5) How do we define seminal? Because that would really change which movie is the most seminal for our generation (Although with comments like that, I'm sure folks are wondering whether or not I was in fact born before 1989).
When I've had a proper amount of sleep I will return to answer these questions.
