Interview
Oh wow.
I just finished watching the film "Interview," directed by Steve Buscemi, based on the Dutch film of the same name. It starred Buscemi and Sienna Miller as interviwer and interviewee, respectively. He is a political correspondent used to covering wars, impeachments, and the like. She is a movie star more famous for who she's sleeping with than anything she's done (ie/ the "Killer Bunny" movies). After a disastrous initial interview in which he admits outright that he has never seen any movie she's been in, and she tells him to fuck himself and storms out, he bonks his head and ends up back at her apartment with a bag of frozen peas on his noggin, followed by 90 fascinating minutes of intricately revealed character development.
The movie is fantastically acted. Like her character, I only knew Sienna Miller by reputation (unfavorable at that), but man has that gal got chops! I have to hand it to anyone who can deliver the following line without overdoing it:
"I'm not crazy Pierre, I just want to kill you!"
There was little doubt as to whether or not Steve Buscemi would deliver, and deliver he did. Both characters are so complex and realistic and human, you never know how to feel about them at any given point. I'm forming a post-film bond with both of them right now. Pardon my gushing. In fact, I don't have much else to say. Just... wow. Well, one more thing, in the paragraph that follows:
This is my new test movie. If I show you this movie, I'm testing your reaction to see if you have good taste in films.
Oh yeah, and this film is incredibly stageable. It would be so much fun to direct this for the stage. I wonder how much the rights would cost...
Is it weird to be this enthused by subtlety?

I LOVE this movie!! You're not the only one enthused by subtlety! The ending really caught me off guard, I have to say... you want to hate both Pierre & Katya, but you can't, because they're both so bloody relateable...
You have good taste my friend.
