Oh shit. I mean, darn. No, I mean shit.
My CKLU training is complete! Alls I need to do is email the program manager and set up a time slot and I'll be on the airwaves! Woot!
Today's training went pretty well. Thanks to anyone who tuned in and heard me program a song which contained the "f" word. Whoops! And here I thought Tori's "Northern Lad" was such a sweet song. But then, who doesn't like hearing "fuck" on a Sunday afternoon? I don't think anyone noticed, to be honest. I just hope some old lady wasn't channel surfing at that very moment.

I wish CKLU's broadcast-range came all the way down to Welland :(
You're just going to have to get nationally syndicated!
So it was YOUUUUUU!
I should've known.
Just out of curiousity was there any specific reason for Tori as your first song? or were you even thinking about that?
Having a time slot during the day is really a challenge, because you have to think hard about every song you play and whether it has a swear in it. I've played songs a handful of times thinking there was no profanity, only to sound strangely loud and clear when it is played on-air. It's funny how one doesn't normally pick up on these things when listening to the song in a different environment.
My point is: try to get a time slot for after 10!
I didn't play Tori as my first song! I played Metric!
And I am HOPING(!!!) for a 12 - 2:30am slot. I don't like being careful.
