Prospero's Album?

Thom Yorke's "The Eraser."
We've taken one (1) potential Radiohead album, and quadruple (4x) filtered it, to get rid of all those "other" particles. Particles like Selwayic, O-Brienian, and both varieties of Greenwood. The result? Nothing but Pure Yorke. Simpler, yet more complex at once, "The Eraser" is like a production of Macbeth starring only Macbeth. Sure you miss Lady Macbeth and the witches, but it's kind of cool to see it done without them. To sum up, it is the first album in recent years that will make you want to listen with headphones on and lights off.

You know, "Prospero's Album" strikes me as exactly right, only it'd have to be Prospero on a bad day, when his wand stops working and he realizes that in all the time he's had his nose in books, those waves on the horizon have been inching closer and closer...
In short, I like it, too.
A lot.
