C.I.P. (Crikey in Peace)
Holy shit! The Crocodile Hunter is dead!
MSN.com is reporting that Steve Irwin died of (get this) "a stingray barb to the heart."
I did not see that one coming. No amount of "Crikey!" can express my surprise at this. I was prepared for the following:
But lord help me, I just didn't see it coming. Whew! What a bitter blow.
Just one more reason to stay out of the ocean.

he was one-of-a-kind for sure, to be so passionate over spiders and reptiles and find everything about their behaviours to be so fascinating every single time they'd exhibit it. And it's funny because when I first saw the headline "Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin Dead" my first thought was, "what?! did he have a heart attack or something?" It didn't even occur to me that something went wrong during one of his adventures.
A stingray barb to the heart is plain ol rotten luck, like being struck and killed by an object being thrown from above you - its being in the wrong place at the wrong time - had the stingray stung him a few moments later, it would have gotten him in the leg most likely and he's still be alive.
This country is in shock. Every kid at school today mentioned it to me today, many said they cried when they found out. Huge loss.
